The club has been around since 1950 when Dave Pyle opened the Moose Jaw Wrestling & Barbell Club. The club has produced Provincial, National, International & World Champions. Terry Paice & Justin Abdou have gone on to represent Canada at numerous competitions including the Olympics. Terry in 1976 placing 5th & Justin in 2000 placing 11th.
Everyone gets to participate, wrestlers are grouped by age and weight. Every wrestler has the opportunity to compete. Wrestling compliments other sports like Football & Lacrosse by improving coordination, balance, agility & the ability to control someone else. Wrestling uses every part of your body to develop core strength & cardio.
